Achievements

*** Department of Environment, Chapainawabganj district office is currently operating in 05 (five) upazilas of Chapainawabganj district.

*** In this district all liquid waste emitting establishments receiving clearance have been forced to set up ETPs. At present the number of ETP completed institutions is 01.

*** To increase the use of blocks as an alternative to bricks, the incentive program for block construction is ongoing. Already in Chapainawabganj district 01 (one) entrepreneurs have started block production activities.

*** Various industries/institutions are being regularly monitored by issuing locational/environmental clearances and renewal of environmental clearances. 80.36% of traditional brick kilns with 120 feet permanent chimneys have been converted into eco-friendly modern technology brick kilns through the encouragement and guidance of this office.
